I'll tell you now, AOL completely butchers the images.
Welcome!
to my humble little showcase. In the following pages, you'll find what
I consider to be some of my best images, along with a small essay on why
I like 3D computer-rendered graphics.
Some general information:
All images shown here are ORIGINAL and produced with some combination of the following:
- Font F/X 1.0. This little dandy was used to produce the text
images such as the one that says 'Graphics Page' above. While not free, it
has a nice evaluation version.
- POV-Ray 3.01 for Windows. This program is simply amazing - best
part is that it's freeware! Source is even available in case you want to port
it to run on your toaster. You'll be hearing alot more about this program
in these pages.
- (as kind of a side note) Moray 2.5: This beast is used to lay out
several of my POV-Ray scenes. While I admit its usefulness, it's also very
aggravating at times.
- Paint Shop Pro: This program is a must-have. It may not be the best
for creating graphics, but it's the best editor. I used it to create the
little 'Best Viewed' graphic, and use it all the time to crop and touch up my
Font FX stuff.
